Performing for MHS Basketball, Varsity Men/Bel Canto – Jan. 22
Downing Choir has been invited to perform before the MHS varsity basketball games at Middle School Night on Jan. 22! This is a big opportunity to sing in front of hundreds of people and a large social media presence! Both Bel Canto and the Varsity Men choirs will be singing.
Cost:   Students watch the game for Free!
Parents/Guests can buy tickets for $8 from MHS
Attire: Choir Shirt or Current DMS Basketball Jersey
Meeting place: Top of stairs in Marcus Athletic Center
Schedule:
6:10 pm Bel canto arrive at MHS basketball arena, sing at 6:30 pm
7:10 pm Varsity Men arrive at MHS basketball arena, sing at 7:30 pm
Students can leave or stay for game when finished
Parents/guardians are responsible for their choir students before and after each performance.

Downings’ Got Talent Auditions – Jan. 23-24
The DMS Talent Show is Tuesday, January 29th at 7 pm in the DMS Cafeteria.  Auditions are Wednesday January 23rd and Thursday, January 24th.  All talents are accepted!  Can you sing? Dance? Do cool magic tricks?  Try out for the Talent Show!  Winners will receive prizes from our celebrity (teacher) judges.

All-District Honor Choir Auditions, 6th grade only – Jan. 30
6th Grade All-District Honor Choir auditions are on Saturday, Feb. 23!!…
This year auditions are free and they are at Downing!! We need to really represent this year!
All-District Choir is a “select” or “club” level for choral singing in Lewisville ISD. There are 2 choirs, a 6th Grade Girls Choir and a 6th Grade Boys Choir.
If selected for the choirs, commitment is only 1 day for rehearsal/concert (March 19)!
Contest registration is due 1/30.
